Surprise Package: A Bejeweled Gift

Don’t you just love getting things in the mail?

Well, look what was waiting for me yesterday…

IMG_3362

My friend Tamara sent me this awesome one-of-a-kind necklace from her collection! Isn’t she just the sweetest?

DISCLAIMER: Pay NO attention to the 80’s hairdo! I can’t fight the GA weather, I just have to roll with it. ONLY look at the necklace!

Good grief—I really should crop my head out of this one. Ugh! Just the necklace PLEASE.

This is Misti’s hair on a non-humid day.

Back to the necklace…Isn’t is cool? It’s so funky, like me!

Notice her button? Freyja’s Jewels… She really didn’t send this to me just so I would put her button on my blog, but just because she loves me.

We had an instant connection! She loved my blog, and emailed me to tell me how much inspiration she got from it, and I have been ever so grateful that she found me! We are truly sisters at heart, and I just can’t get enough of her crazy self!

Click on this button to check out her jewelry website! She has phenomenal creations for every budget. Go on now, check it out then come back. It’s okay…I’ll wait on you…

If you don’t remember, I blogged about her house in Nova Scotia, and the ocean house  that is still in the works here.

Wondering about the name of her company? Let me read to you the cute little tag that was attached to my necklace:

Freyja the Beautiful…

Norse Goddess of Magic and Love

Freyja was  said to be so beautiful that all objects of beauty were named after her. She had a cat-drawn chariot and falcon-feather cloak, but most precious to her was a magnificent necklace which bestowed her with magic and power beyond even her beauty.

So let an enchanting Freyja’s Jewels design remind the woman in the mirror that SHE is beautiful, magical and one-of-a-kind.

Pretty cool story, huh? Tamara is quite a creative genius!

Meeting new friends and forming lifetime bonds is one of the greatest reasons to blog. I have found a lifelong friend here.

Thank you crazy Tam!

~Misti

Yes, I remember her house!! It was lovely!!! And so is her jewelry!! Wow, she is talented. And for your hair, I think it looks great both ways, but so many people who actually have naturally curly hair, hate it and like it straightened. As for those of us who ONLY have the choice of straight hair, we always have one choice....straight. Yours is gorgeous both ways!!!
Love ya!

Would it be proper etiquette for me to have waited for others to comment first? I gotta get out more! hehe Just had to tell you how excited I am to see how beautiful this looks on you... as though it really belongs on you, of all the possible places it might have gone! And, I love your straight hair... but I LOOVE your "crazy 80s hair." What I wouldn't give for 'good hair days' as lovely as your 'bad hair day'! :-S And my favourite thing about making jewelry is seeing them ON their'goddesses'... I always feel I haven't really seen a piece 'finished' until then. And, Girl, YOU definitely make that piece what it was meant to be! Visited the ocean house this evening with Tony's (husband's)family... They LOVED all 'my' decorating ideas! I basked in the moment briefly, before confessing that nearly EVERY one came from your blog. When we're done the Great Makeover, you might have to visit and sign my house! :-) Thanks so much for another generous plug for Freyja!! You ARE a surprise gift. ... Tamara, the woefully long-winded!

As for your hair...Girl, I look the SAME way without my flat iron and even then sometimes it still gets that way.

I wanted to let you know we have a winner!! Suzanne from Southern Inspiration won the giveaway! You will need to get in contact with her to find out what she is wanting on her canvas. What a great necklace! My hair hates the humidity of Florida. That is one reason I keep it cut so short. Easy to manage.
