What makes everything better? Part 2

Several months back I posted this very same thingbut with very few comments. I was new, I totally understand. Now that I have a few new friends I though I would take another shot at the topic.

Today I have been in a strange up/down kind of mood. I read all through Kimba’s comments on how people are coping with today’s world, and I want to know what few things just seem to make everything better for you.

For my best friend Yasna, reading the Twilight sensation does it for her…for me:

Chocolate—really good dark chocolate. Okay, any kind of chocolate will do, but if I have dark chocolate…everything all better in a hurry!

Coffee-especially with a friend… I really, really want this mug, or a “Life is Good” mug for my favorite cup o’ joe.

And one more thing that makes me feel all better…

Yep, I said it! Love her music…sometimes a girl just needs a little Alanis to make everything better.

Disclaimer: This post has absolutely nothing to do with decorating, but, everything to do with me.

Thanks for playing along.

I knew there was a reason I liked you from the get go. I adore Alanis and chocolate and there's nothing I like better than coffee(a non-fat latte to be exact) with a good friend. I hope you have a fabulous Easter!

I love chocolate but I don't drink coffee although I do love the aroma from it. I've enjoyed your pictures and the music is so calming. Love the curtains over the tub. Its so inviting. I enjoy your studio blog spot. I'm so glad to have reconnected with you again.

Hi Misti! Thanks for stopping by my blog today - I will admit I saw your comment on Kimba's blog first -and immediately knew I had too could tell that I am working on Med. Transcript...BTW, my course didn't have much grammar; I just breezed thru a Basic Medical Keyboarding course that covered how to write letters, memos, reports, etc - which I geekily (is that a word?) loved! ha!! Anyway...I think you & me could get along - I love chocolate & coffee w/ friends - and I once owned JAGGED LITTLE PILL (?) by Alanis (don't know where it is now). Stop by & see me again soon.
God bless.

PS I just re-read my comment - and I noticed I totally messed up my sentence structure (a grammar girl can't let that go - LOL)... I meant to say: "...and immediately knew I too could tell that I'm working on Med. Transcript...."

A rich piece of chocolate does make everything better...and for me so does photos of my grandchildren received in an email.

A walk with my sweet next door neighbor and friend puts things into perspective.

Hey Misti/Parker (LOL)...thanks for coming by my blog again! For the record, I've never made the lasagna crock pot recipe that I posted!!!! I have the ingredients to make it next week...the recipe said cook the pasta so I'm cooking it - but I too wonder if it could be a "no cook" noodle lasagna?!?!

My go to music is No Doubt!

I'm not a huge sweet fan. But, I can't live without my Dr. Pepper or Coke.

My daughter who will be 6 this year loves any kind of chocolate.

Life is all good when I lay my head on my husband's shoulder. Seriously. Sappy, but true.

Chocolate and coffee always make me feel better! I like Alanis - but go to Michael Buble more if I'm needing some serenity!

Hey - thanks for all of your sweet comments on my blog. You always put a smile on my face.

Alanis, chocolate and coffee are definitely up there on my list. I'm trying to appreciate the little things more, though. Taking a moment to see the silver lining or say "Ok - this moment, this is good". Even if it's just sprawling out on the couch and watching American Idol with my son.

Although, #1 on my list is a nice hot shower with the lights off and candles lit. TMI? I don't think so. You HAVE to try it :).

What always makes things better for me? My number one answer has to be prayer. If I could not go to God 500 times a day with whatever is on my mind, I would explode. He really, truly is my very best friend and he always makes everything better :)
I also love candles that smell good, hot chocolate and popcorn!
Hugs!

Hi Misti - I felt the same way after reading through Kimba's comments. Most of all though I loved getting to know all of those people better. So if you read mine, ya know that I'm a chocoholic. But the one thing I absolutely cannot live without is my Dunkin Donuts coffee. It's insane how much pleasure I get from it.

What makes everything better for me?
1. Feeling secure.

2. Taking one of my girls out shopping to multiple locations with an execellent cup of Cafe Mocha Grande in our hands. Oops, did we just stumble into the pedicure chair too?? Oh my yes, that makes my day. A day of shopping, pedicures & Starbucks.

All of which I shall be doing today!! Yay!! Lexi's got some birthday money to spend.

For me, it's a cup of coffee and and hour to spend puttering around my house, straightening things, putting things back where they belong, taking control of SOMETHING! And having classical music going at the same time is a bonus.

1. Going to a thrift store or yard sale and walking away with the most coveted item. Especially when people are following me out to the car..begging to sell it to them.

Ahhh...that's when I know I got something really good!

2. Blogs. I love reading people's perspectives and hearing their thoughts.
