Focus people--We are talking decor, accessories and furniture here!
In my humble opinion, the bigger the decor the better. Even in a small space, the use of one or two oversized accessories or furniture pieces can make the room seem larger.
I have been scouring some of my favorite magazines, and have found some great ideas to share.
Make a statement in the kitchen, use something big and bold. Think out-of-the-box!
I love the old clock with the crisp white cabinetry! Check out how they wrapped the light fixture in burlap. Love, love, love!
Here is another idea for a large wall. Who needs more cabinets when you can have a massive black mirror in the kitchen? We all need to make sure we look good while cooking and doing the dishes, right? This black and white kitchen is so cozy with hints of natural green… and check out the tree trunk side table…more love!
This kitchen shows off a collection of BIG baskets. Even the cabinets have a big wow factor.
The architectural elements added into the design of this kitchen are amazing! This is something I plan to include in our home, as much as possible. Mixing old and new is just my style. Look over the sink area…see the huge corbel and the molding over the fridge? Beautiful.
Settees do not have to be so petite either. The extra height on this little pretty makes it magazine worthy!
(House Beautiful)
Now, this bathroom rug is BIG and BOLD! I also love how they used the big, chippy urn, and also a large ottoman. I think I could hang out in there for a while…
(either Country Living or Country Home)
Have a wimpy mirror in your bathroom? Build it up with molding! This bathroom has much more drama than your typical “builder blah” mirrored bath.
That’s all I have for you today…just remember, in your design choices to GO BIG! Make a statement of your style. Don’t be afraid to add some WOW FACTOR in your home!

Your photos in this post definitely provide proof that sometimes "Bigger IS Better." I especially loved the settee.
Love the big black mirror in the kitchen. Such a great idea and so beautiful. I also love the urn with the big elephant ear in it by the tub. I have some growing outside in my garden they get huge. Never thought of trying them inside. I love the orangyrust color ottoman in the bottom picture. Its so pretty.
Love the first photo--I have a weakness for oversized, vintage clocks!
I like big too! Over sized items; my hubby always wants to know why such little woman alwasy have to go big with all their decorating; I didn't have an answer.

There is something about that 3rd kitchen that I just adore! The color the rustic of the cabinets...Never thought I'd like something like that...Oh and the mirror in the kitchen! Wow, I would have never thought of that.
I love this idea too, using large accessories. I need to do this more in my home. I think it makes such a statement! Love all the pics, but my favorite is the first one with that awesome clock!
You just gave me an idea to do with my cabinets because of picture one. My husband is going to kill me I have so many projects I want to do.
Misti, I am in total agreement with this one. I've tried to pair down my smaller accessories & use bigger ones. Havne't always been successful, but I try!
Who knew I would love that mirror in the kitchen? How fabulous!
And, that bathroom...oh my gosh. I would love to wake up to that every morning. Yummy!
