Not your average Coffee Table

When my new Pottery Barn catalog arrived this week I couldn't wait to tear into it! I am always drawn to the coffee tables and the endless possibilities on how to accessorize the beauties. You will not find one in my house because the boys aren't ready to part with half of the family room just yet. One day, just one day I am going to find the perfect table. I would like an over-sized coffee table, possibly a dining table cut down to sit a little lower. Always on the prowl for a great piece of furniture. So don't settle for a run-of-the-mill, every neighbor has the same one, kind of coffee table. I have left you with a bit of eye candy to inspire you to find something different.

How about a gorgeous trunk-old or new.

An over sized leather ottoman- multi-talented, it holds accessories or feet!

This cane topped bench is multi-functional too.

Ahhh...a rustic old table-this is my favorite.

Remember, you don't have to have the same old furniture your mother had. Think out of the box and find something different for your home. Stand out from the crowd, and let your personality shine through in your furnishings and in everything you do!

I just love pottery barn! I have a coffee table/ottoman like the leather one you posted. It is AWESOME with kids and pets running around, standing on it, sitting for games, etc.

I have an over sized ottoman in my family room but right now the only thing that it is used for is a step up to get on the love seat by my kids.

Just found your blog through hooked on houses and I love it! Pottery Barn catalogs are the best for inspiration. I see you are from N. Ga I'm sure you must know of the PB outlet, I am a few hours away but will often make a special trip when I am on the hunt for something.

Ohhh...Southern Charm, I fell in love with a big planter (looks much like the Bordallo stuff)there but didn't buy it and then regretted it. I ended up finding the same one many months later at a different place (and for less $$)so I grabbed it. I had an arrangement made in it and it has been on my DR table since...I still love it! Yes, I love Ballards...always hit them when I am in the area too.

Good Morning Misti ~
I too love unique coffee tables...we did cut down the legs of a small dining table...and left it a bit taller than your average coffee table...great for meals ~ if we like ~ or card playing...but for me, I love it because it is different.

Thanks for stopping by my site to say howdy...you blog is lovely, I will visit again for sure!

Happy Saturday ~
Ramona

I use a trunk, when my son was younger, it was a great place to store his videos and easy enough to get into. Now it holds some photo albums. If only I could get rid of Mom's lamps - any ideas on changing glass lamps with brass bases???
